Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join Kilbride Presbyterian?

Everyone is very welcome to come along to any of our services or organisations.  However, if you wish to join Kilbride Presbyterian, speak to the elders on duty or contact the Minister or your district elder. Alternatively, you can complete a new member’s card, available on the welcome desk in the Church vestibule.

How do my children join one of the organisations?

Simply bring your child along to the organisation or speak to a leader to make arrangements.

What if I am planning a wedding or other function?

Please inform the minister or your district elder as soon as possible to allow arrangements to be made.

How do I have my child baptised?

Please inform the minister or your district elder as soon as possible to allow arrangements to be made.

How do I become a communicant member?

Please ask the minister or your district elder for details of upcoming communicant's classes.

What do I do if I, or one of my family members, is ill or in hospital?

It is becoming more and more difficult for the hospital chaplains to inform ministers of every member of their congregation who is in hospital. It would be greatly appreciated if members of the congregation could inform the minister or Church office of cases of sickness or hospitalisation. Normally, we visit hospitals on Tuesdays & Fridays, though emergency visits are dealt with as soon as we are informed.

How do I receive weekly freewill offering envelopes?

Please speak to your elder, Alistair Usher or contact the Church office. If you would like details on how to covenant your giving or register Gift Aid on your giving, please speak to Noel Elkin or contact the Church office.

How do I volunteer to help?

If you would like to volunteer to help at any of our organisations, services or events, please contact the Minister or the church office.

What do I do if I, or my children, need transport to church, Sunday school or an organisation?

If you need transport to church or an organisation, please contact your district elder or the leader of the organisation.
